We will begin with a general introduction to web accessibility.
Then we will discuss the Quick Tests for Accessibility that we (the Disabilities and Computing Program team) have been developing. We have defined this set of tests to quickly determine whether a site is mostly accessible. Exhaustive testing of a site can require many hours spent on both interpreting results of automated testing and performing additional manual testing. Our quick test set aims to find the most obvious issues following the 80/20 rule for high impact and lower time investment.
Finally we will dive into some hands-on support -- we'll help you walk through testing your own sites. Bring your laptops. Bring your mobile devices. Bring sites you want to test.
