Mobile Data Collection for Research Pilots, in-class Field Work and as a Public Health Challenge

Abstract

This session will introduce how UCLA is exploring Mobile Data Collection using the ohmage platform and ohmage MWF clients with a series of pilots deploying this technology in instructional curricula, wellness incentive and challenge programs and research studies. The session will discuss the UCLA and Cornell Tech NYC ongoing collaboration around the platform, and the expansion into a broader open technology community. In addition we will share the instructional deployment of the Mobilize Project at LAUSD, which leverages ohmage, in addition to what OIT is supporting ohmage for classwork field studies at UCLA.
